Your head is a bridge: a found poem
Your head is a bridge
The blankets underneath
Is the ocean
My head is a bridge also.
Your arm is a bridge from
My bridge
To your bridge
Your mouth and
Nose and eyes
Are stairs
To the shelf on your head
Where there is warm water
In the water there are dolphins
Who bite you
If you put your hands close
There's people in your eyes
There's people in your mouth, chewing.
They've been there for
A thousand-y years.
Note: Based on snippets from conversations with my 3-year old, the best of which are the ones in the morning, upon waking next to each other.
